Sometimes, you get tired of eating the same homemade meals every day
and want to make something a little more special at home.
.
Imagine a cozy restaurant with soft jazz playing in the background,
a perfectly seared steak
paired with a fresh and flavorful pasta dish.
.
Or perhaps you’re hosting a dinner party
or inviting friends over for a meal,
and you want to serve something a little more special
than an everyday Korean home-cooked meal.
.
If that’s what you’re looking for,
I’d love to introduce **Beef Tagliata —
a delicious combination of sliced steak and fresh arugula pasta.**
.
Beef Tagliata is a classic Italian-style dish
made by searing a steak,
slicing it thinly,
and serving it over salad greens or pasta
so everyone can share and enjoy it together.
.
It’s also surprisingly easy to make at home,
even if you’re not used to cooking Italian dishes.
.
It’s a simple recipe,
so save it for later and give it a try! 👍🏻

Steak & Arugula Pasta Recipe: Beef Tagliata
.
Ingredients | Serves 2–3
- 300 g steak
- Pasta for 2 servings
- 30 g arugula or mixed salad greens
- For the steak: 2 pinches of salt, black pepper
- For the pasta dressing: 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp honey, 2 tbsp lemon juice
.
How to Make Beef Tagliata
1. Heat a pan and add a drizzle of olive oil. Sear the steak.
- Pat the steak dry with paper towels before cooking.
- If you have time, you can season the steak with olive oil, salt, and pepper and let it rest for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Alternatively, season the steak with salt and pepper just before placing it in the pan.
.
2. Sear the steak over high heat until the outside is deeply golden brown and nicely crusted.
- This is called searing.
- The high heat creates a flavorful, browned crust on the outside of the steak.
.
3. Once all sides are evenly seared, add a small piece of butter and baste the steak.
The melted butter coats the surface and adds extra richness and flavor.
.
4. Transfer the steak to a plate or cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes.
- This is called resting.
- Resting allows the steak to settle before slicing.
.
5. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.

6. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package directions.
I cooked the pasta for about 10 minutes until tender.
.
7. Drain the pasta and toss it with a drizzle of olive oil.
.
8. Add the pasta and arugula or mixed salad greens to a large bowl and lightly dress everything.
- I used a simple dressing made with soy sauce, honey, and lemon juice.
- Feel free to use your favorite pasta or salad dressing instead.
.
9. Arrange the salad pasta on a large plate and place the thinly sliced steak on top.
.
.
.

Serve it with a few of your favorite side dishes
and create a beautiful, generous meal to enjoy together. 💛
