Chicken Cream Stew Recipe: Easy French-Style Chicken Fricassee

Ingredients
- 200–300 g (7–10 oz) boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 onion
- 5 whole garlic cloves
- 1 packet (14 g / 0.5 oz) chicken stock powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 small knob of butter
- 200 g (about 7 oz) heavy cream
- Optional: a ladleful of white wine

How to Make It
1) Melt the butter in a wide skillet and sear the chicken thighs until golden brown.
- Season with a pinch of salt.

2) Once the chicken is nicely browned on both sides, transfer it to a plate and set aside.

3) Thinly slice the onion and garlic.

4) Using the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic in the flavorful juices left from the chicken.

5) Add the heavy cream, salt, and chicken stock powder, and stir until everything is well combined.

6) Place the seared chicken thighs back into the skillet and gently simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes.
