Japchae is always the first dish that comes to mind.

그 외엔 다른 반찬으로 접해 본 적이 없어서
더욱 그럴거예요.
I’ve rarely had them in any other side dishes,
so that’s probably why they feel so familiar in that way.

오늘은 반찬, 샐러드로 즐길 수 있는
목이버섯 무침 메뉴를 소개해요.
Today, I’m sharing a simple wood ear mushroom salad
that works beautifully as both a side dish and a light salad.

따뜻하게 먹어도 맛있지만
개인적으론 차갑게 식혀 샐러드처럼 먹는 게
더 취향에 맞아요 🙂
It’s delicious served warm,
but personally, I love it even more chilled and enjoyed like a refreshing salad 🙂

반찬 없이 한 그릇 만으로도 충분한 소고기 쪽파 솥밥과
전자레인지로 간편하게 만드는 달걀찜으로

To go along with it,
I prepared beef and green onion pot rice — hearty enough to enjoy on its own —
and a soft steamed egg dish made easily in the microwave.
Together, they made such a comforting and satisfying meal for the day.

목이버섯 당근 무침 샐러드 Wood Ear Mushroom & Carrot Salad
재료
– 목이버섯 200g, 당근 1/2 개
– 소금 1T, 마스코바도 1T, 홀그레인 머스타드 2T

Ingredients
- 200g wood ear mushrooms, 1/2 carrot
- 1 Tbsp salt, 1 Tbsp muscovado sugar, 2 Tbsp whole grain mustard

만들기 Instructions
1) 당근은 반달 모양으로 얇지 않게 썰어요.
Slice the carrot into thick half-moon pieces.

2) 목이 버섯은 깨끗하게 씻고, 찜기에 당근과 같이 쪄요.
Rinse the wood ear mushrooms thoroughly, then steam them together with the carrot.

3) 물이 끓은 후 5분정도 후에 찜기에서 꺼내 한 김 식혀요.
Once the water comes to a boil, steam for about 5 minutes. Remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly.

4) 커다란 볼에 버섯, 당근을 담고 양념 재료를 넣어 고루 버무려요.
Place the mushrooms and carrots in a large bowl, add the seasoning ingredients, and gently toss everything together until evenly coated.

5) 샐러드처럼 냉장고에 보관 후 먹으면 더욱 맛있어요.
It tastes even better after chilling in the refrigerator and enjoying it like a refreshing salad.
